Jorge Paez is a retired Mexican professional boxer who was known for his flamboyant style both inside and outside the ring. He was born on October 25, 1965, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.
Paez began his professional boxing career in 1984 and went on to win multiple world titles in different weight classes, including featherweight, super featherweight, and lightweight. He was known for his unorthodox fighting style, flashy costumes, and entertaining ring entrances which often featured dancing and elaborate outfits.
Throughout his career, Paez fought against some of the biggest names in boxing, including Oscar De La Hoya, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Azumah Nelson. He retired from boxing in 2003 with a record of 79 wins, 14 losses, and 5 draws.
Since retiring from boxing, Paez has worked as a boxing commentator and has made appearances in movies and television shows. He remains a popular figure in the boxing world and is known for his outgoing personality and colorful persona.
